Chimp test results and scoring guide

Your result is the largest board you completed in full. Three mistakes at the first board give 0, not 4. Partial boards do not count. The 12-number ceiling belongs to this game, not your memory. This variant permits unlimited study time before the first click, so it is not comparable to controlled chimpanzee experiments or IQ norms.

Testing conditions

Memorise the numbered positions, then select 1, 2, 3 and so on. All remaining numbers hide after your first selection. Start with four numbers on a 6 × 5 grid. Complete a board to add one number; a wrong selection costs a life. Three errors end the game. The ceiling is 12 numbers. The elapsed timer begins at Start; there is no countdown.

Make a useful comparison

Keep the mode, device and conditions consistent. Familiarity, distractions and practice affect results. Self-reported traits and interests describe your current answers; they do not establish your ability or suitability for a job. Game results describe this particular run and are not IQ or clinical scores.

Share the result with its context

Finish the test and choose Create shareable result. Only this action publishes your summary. An optional name, testing conditions and individual result image appear on your permanent page. Individual inventory responses are discarded after scoring. The Share on LinkedIn button opens LinkedIn’s composer for you to review and post.

You can download the image or copy an HTML embed that links back to the result. Individual result pages request no search indexing; the test and this guide are indexable. For removal, contact [email protected] with the result URL.
